Snowmobile LingoLike a lot of sports, snowmobilers have their own complex language. Here is a list of some of the terms used by snowmobilers - One-Up -- A single rider snowmobile.
- Two-Up -- A double rider snowmobile.
- Sled -- Another name for a snowmobile
- Snirt -- A dirt and snow combination. Found in thick woods, sharp turns, and heavy traffic areas.
- Dirty -- A trail condiction normally found in corners where dirt is exposed.
- Groomer -- Large tractor that smooths and cleans up the trails.
- Base -- Whats under the powder that you ride on. Under good conditions it will be a few inches of ice.
- Trail Ridin' -- Sticking to the trails
- Ditch Diver -- A snowmobiler that rides the roads and jumps in and out of the ditch (not recommended)
- Field Hopper -- A snowmobiler that plays in fields making their own trail (hope they dont hit a tree stump.
